วันนี้ เรามีสิ่งของ ทรัพย์สมบัติ ที่ต้องยอมมอบให้กับพระเจ้าหรือไม่ ให้พระเจ้าทั้งสิ้นที่เรามี ให้เราเรียนรู้ที่จะเป็นผู้ดูแล ไม่ใช่เจ้าของ แล้วเราจะประหลาดใจเมื่อพบว่า พระเจ้าทรงดูแลทรัพย์สมบัติของเราดีขนาดไหน

A Question of Ownership

Matthew 10:39 Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.

Otto Koning was a missionary in New Guinea. He worked among a native tribe that had known only their village ways. One of those village ways was stealing from others. When Otto and his wife arrived and moved into a hut, the natives often came by to visit. The Konings would notice that after the natives left the missionaries' home, various household items had disappeared. They saw these items again when they went to preach in the natives' village.

The only fruit Otto could grow on the island was pineapples. Otto loved pineapples, and he took pride in the pineapples he was able to grow. However, whenever the pineapples began to ripen, the natives would steal them. Otto could never keep a ripe pineapple for himself. This was a frustration, and he became angry with the natives. All during the seven-year period in which this took place, Otto preached the gospel to these natives, but never had a conversion.

The more the natives stole, the more angry Otto became. Finally, one day Otto had a German Shepherd dog flown in from another missionary to protect his pineapple garden after other frustrated efforts failed. This only further alienated the natives from him.

Otto took a furlough to the United States and attended a conference on personal rights. At this conference, he discovered that he was frustrated over this situation because he had taken personal ownership of his pineapple garden. After much soul searching, he gave his garden to God. Soon the natives started having problems among their tribe.

They discovered that Otto was the reason for their problems because he gave his garden to his God. The natives saw a correlation between what Otto had done and their own lives being affected by calamities in their village. When Otto gave his garden to God, he no longer got angry and was free from worry. The natives started bringing him fruit from the garden because they didn't want any more calamities to come into their village.

The light came on one day when a native said to Otto, "You must have become a Christian, Otto. You don't get angry anymore. We always wondered if we would ever meet a Christian." They had never associated Otto with the kind of person he was preaching about because his message did not line up with his life. Otto was broken in spirit when he realized he had been such a failure.
At the end of seven years, he witnessed his first conversion, and many began coming to Christ once he fully gave his garden to God. The fruit grew so abundant that Otto began exporting it and growing other types of fruit, such as bananas. His village became the most evangelized in the whole region, yet for seven years he had not one convert.

Otto realized something each of us must realize: To gain your life you must lose it, along with your possessions. It was only when he gave all his possessions to God that he became free from them. God measured back to him manyfold once He had complete ownership.

Do you have some possessions that you need to give up to God today? Let God have all that you have. Become a steward, not an owner. You will be surprised at how well God can take care of His possessions.

Still

My mom was admitted into the hospital last night.

It was a little bit scary to come home yesterday and saw that after putting on a thick jacket and 4 blankets, she still couldn’t stop shaking. She shook like she was in somewhere very cold. Her Temperature was really high, and it looks like she was almost unconscious. We (only me & a sister at home) couldn’t do anything but trying to slow down her heat.

For some of you who’ve been in this situation before, you may be able to guess how it is like to run to the hospital, packing your clothes and etc. Usually I’m not quite a good person to handle pressure, anxiety and exhaustion ^_^ Panic and anxiety did make a great visit on me, and on a Valentine’s night!!?? All my plans are no longer as planned anymore. And totally I’m always a person that freak out and get cranky when things don’t go as planned. After have been with her for more than 5hrs, running home to get clothes, got home, found out I forgot keys, and went back to the hospital, emotion started to take control. I couldn’t help crying to my bf….haha, this is the funny part. Besides the fact that mom is sick, I cried just because my Valentine’s night was about to be over….so I asked him for my flower that he hadn’t had a chance to give yet..just to cheer myself up.

It’s a bit funny after looking back to last night. This morning I woke up with the alarm clock in my mobile phone. Strangely I’ve never noticed that I set this song as the alarm, maybe because every other morning I was just very sleepy and really didn’t pay attention. But this morning, it was so clear just like it was singing to me. It goes..

“When the oceans rise and thunders roar
I will soar with you above the storm
Father you are king over the flood
I will be still and know you are God” (Still by Hillsongs)

This song played over and over. Maybe just because I was sleepy so didn’t turn it off, but it was so clear in my ears, my spirit. I know this is His message.

“Be still, and know that I am God”
..Be still…
..Be still….

Just a bit Funny when God told me to be still when I was so ready to get cranky and freak out anytime. So this morning while driving to work, I got a moment to ponder and be still. Just that moment that I was “still”, planning to ask for God’s Love and mercy over me, I felt at this time, God is especially hugging me, holding me and telling me that He loves me. He knew already what I needed!! Strangely today I heard His voice very clear more than any other days. Yes!! God told me to be still and trust. This is the best reason why I should stop freaking out….^_^ When I looked back, many good things happened out of this situation. A chance to pray for my mom out loud in front of her without embarrassment, a chance to know how much I want her to come to His salvation, a Valentine’s nite that seems to be ruined but instead, it was a night that he showed me “LOVE” more than any other days in action (he was really tough, driving around back and forth, walking afar to get me dinner when all restaurants were already closed, and went home after midnight).

I will be still and know that He’s God.

บอกเลิกพระเจ้า? Quitting on God? Think again..

บอกเลิกพระเจ้า

วันหนึ่ง ฉันได้ตัดสินใจที่จะเลิกและทิ้งทุกสิ่ง...
ฉันลาออกจากงาน, ตัดขาดความสัมพันธ์, ละทิ้งชีวิตฝ่ายวิญญาณ... ฉันอยากจะจบชีวิตของฉัน

ฉันได้เดินเข้าไปในป่าเพื่อจะคุยกับพระเจ้าเป็นครั้งสุดท้าย
แล้วก็พูดว่า "พระเจ้า พระองค์ช่วยให้เหตุผลดีๆ สักข้อที่ข้าพระองค์ไม่ควรจะ ล้มเลิกและยอมแพ้ได้มั้ย?"
คำตอบของพระองค์ทำให้ฉันประหลาดใจ
"มองดูรอบๆ สิ... เจ้าเห็นต้นเฟิร์นและต้นไผ่มั้ย?"
ฉันตอบว่า "เห็น"
"ตอนที่เราปลูกต้นเฟิร์นและหว่านเมล็ดต้นไผ่ เราดูแลพวกมันอย่างดี เราให้แสงแดด เรารดน้ำ
ต้นเฟิร์นก็โตขึ้นอย่างรวดเร็วบนพื้นดิน ใบเขียวขจีของมันปกคลุมไปทั่วพื้นดิน
แต่ไม่มีอะไรเกิดขึ้นกับเมล็ดต้นไผ่ แต่เราก็ไม่เลิกปลูกต้นไผ่

ปีที่สอง เฟิร์นโตมากขึ้น และแผ่ไปทั่ว
เหมือนเดิม ยังไม่มีอะไรเกิดขึ้นกับเมล็ดต้นไผ่ แต่เราก็ไม่เลิกปลูกต้นไผ่" พระองค์ตรัส

"ปีที่สาม ก็ยังไม่มีอะไรงอกออกมาจากเมล็ดต้นไผ่ แต่เราก็จะไม่เลิก

ปีที่สี่ ก็เหมือนเดิม ยังไม่มีอะไรงอกออกมาจากเมล็ดต้นไผ่ แต่เราก็จะไม่เลิก" พระองค์ตรัส
"แล้วในปีที่ห้า มีต้นอ่อนเล็กๆ งอกออกขึ้นมาจากพื้นดิน เปรียบเทียบกับต้นเฟิร์นแล้ว มันช่างดู
เล็กกะจิดและไม่สำคัญเอาซะเลย.... แต่..เพียงแค่หกเดือนต่อมา ต้นไผ่สูงขึ้นกว่าหนึ่งร้อยฟุต
มันต้องใช้เวลาถึงห้าปีเพื่อปลูกรากให้โต รากพวกนี้ทำให้ต้นไผ่แข็งแรงและให้สิ่งจำเป็นเพื่อให้มันมีชีวิตอยู่ได้
เราจะไม่ให้การท้าทายใดๆ ที่เกินกำลังของสิ่งที่เราได้สร้างไว้ จะรับมือได้"

พระองค์ถามฉันว่า "ลูกรัก เจ้ารู้มั้ยว่าตลอดเวลาที่เจ้ากำลังต่อสู้ดิ้นรน เจ้ากำลังหยั่งรากของเจ้า"
"เราไม่เลิกปลูกต้นไผ่ เราก็ไม่เลิกล้มความพยายามใดๆ กับเจ้า"
"อย่าเอาตัวเองไปเปรียบกับคนอื่น"
พระองค์ตรัสว่า "ต้นไผ่มีจุดประสงค์ที่แตกต่างจากเฟิร์น แต่พวกมันต่างก็ทำให้ป่างดงาม"
"เวลาของเจ้าจะมาถึง" พระองค์บอกกับฉัน "เจ้าจะสูงขึ้น"
"ลูกจะสูงแค่ไหน?" ฉันถาม
"ต้นไผ่สูงได้แค่ไหนล่ะ" พระองค์ถามฉันกลับ
"สูงได้มากเท่าที่มันจะสูงได้?" ฉันถาม
"ใช่" พระองค์ตรัส "จงถวายเกียรติแด่เราโดยการสูงขึ้นเท่าที่เจ้าทำได้"

ฉันเดินออกจากป่าและนำเรื่องนี้กลับมา
ฉันหวังว่าถ้อยคำเหล่านี้จะช่วยให้คุณพบว่าพระเจ้าไม่เคยล้มเลิกกับคุณ

ในถังของคุณมีปลากดบรรจุอยู่หรือเปล่า?

พี่น้องทั้งหลายเอ๋ย อย่าประหลาดใจที่โลกนี้เกลียดชังท่าน (1 ยอห์น 3:13)

ข้าพเจ้าเคยได้ยินเรื่องราวของคนค้าปลาที่มีปัญหาในการส่งปลาคอดจากชายฝั่งตะวันออกไปยังฝั่งตะวันตก เนื่องจากว่า กว่าปลาจะเดินทางไปถึง ก็เน่าเสียหมดแล้ว พวกเขาใช้วิธีแช่ปลาด้วยน้ำแข็ง แต่เมื่อปลาไปถึง ก็ยังเละหมด พวกเขาตัดสินใจลองใหม่โดยการส่งปลาคอดไปทั้งที่ยังเป็น ๆ แต่พอไปถึง ปลาก็ตายเสียก่อน พวกเขาจึงลองส่งปลาอีกครั้งหนึ่งทั้งที่ยังเป็น ๆ แต่ครั้งนี้พวกเขาตัดสินใจทำสิ่งหนึ่งที่แตกต่างออกไป นั่นก็คือ พวกเขาใส่ปลากดลงไปในถังปลาคอด ถังละตัว เนื่องจากว่าตามธรรมชาติปลากดและปลาคอดเป็นศัตรูกัน คราวนี้ ปลาคอดกลับไปถึงที่หมายอย่างดีและไม่มีตัวไหนตาย เพราะตลอดการเดินทาง พวกมันต้องคอยหลบอันตรายที่มาจากปลากดตลอดเวลา

ประเด็นของข้าพเจ้าอยู่ที่ว่า บางทีพระเจ้าอาจจะใส่ปลากดลงในถังของคุณเพื่อให้จิตวิญญาณของคุณมีชีวิตและเข้มแข็งอยู่ก็เป็นได้ ปลากดที่ว่านี้ก็คือ การข่มเหง บางทีอาจเป็นคนที่ทำงานของคุณที่ชอบตั้งคำถามยาก ๆ เกี่ยวกับพระเจ้าใส่คุณในทุกวันจันทร์ตอนเช้า อาจเป็นเพื่อนบ้านที่คอยกดดันคุณเพียงเพราะว่าคุณได้มาเชื่อในพระเยซู หรือบางทีอาจมาจากคู่ครองหรือสมาชิกครอบครัวของคุณที่ยังไม่มาเชื่อพระเจ้า คุณอาจกำลังสงสัยว่าทำไมสิ่งต่าง ๆ เหล่านี้ถึงเกิดขึ้น พวกคนเหล่านี้ก็เหมือนปลากดนั่นแหล่ะ ที่จะคอยทำใหัคุณยังตื่นตัวและเตรียมพร้อมอยู่เสมอ

ก่อนที่พระเยซูจะสิ้นพระชนม์ที่ไม้กางเขนไม่นาน พระองค์ได้บอกเหลาสาวกว่า “ถ้าท่านทั้งหลายเป็นของโลก โลกก็จะรักท่านซึ่งเป็นของโลก แต่เพราะท่านไม่ใช่ของโลก เพราะเราได้เลือกท่านออกจากโลก เหตุฉะนั้นโลกจึงเกลียดชังท่าน” (ยอห์น 15:19)

พระเจ้าจะอนุญาตให้เกิดการข่มเหงในชีวิตของผู้ที่เชื่อ ถ้าคุณเป็นคนหนึ่งที่กำลังเผชิญกับการข่มเหงอยู่ ขอให้คุณจำสองสิ่งนี้เอาไว้
1. การข่มเหงยืนยันว่าคุณเป็นลูกของพระเจ้า
2. การข่มเหงทำให้คุณเข้ามาใกล้ชิดพระเยซูมากขึ้น

เมื่อคุณกำลังเผชิญกับการข่มเหงเพราะความเชื่อของคุณ จำไว้ว่าโลกนี้ไม่ใช่บ้านของคุณ

Is There a Catfish in Your Tank?

"Do not marvel, my brethren, if the world hates you." (1 John 3:13)

I heard a story about some fish suppliers who were having problems shipping codfish from the East Coast. By the time the fish reached the West coast, they were spoiled. They froze them, but by the time the fish arrived, they were mushy. They decided to send them alive. But the fish arrived dead so they tried sending the fish alive again, but with one difference. They included a catfish in each tank. You see, the catfish is the natural enemy of the codfish. By the time the codfish arrived, they were alive and well, because they had spent their trip fleeing the catfish.

This is my point. Maybe God has put a catfish in your tank to keep you alive and well spiritually. It's called persecution. Maybe there's a person at work who always has eight hard questions for you every Monday morning regarding spiritual things. Maybe it is that neighbor who is giving you a hard time for your faith in Jesus. Maybe it is a spouse or family member who doesn't believe. You are wondering why this is happening. It is like that catfish. That person is keeping you on your toes.

Shortly before His crucifixion, Jesus told the disciples, "If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you" (John 15:19).

God will allow persecution in the life of the believer. If you're experiencing persecution, here are two things to remember:
1. Persecution confirms that you are a child of God.
2. Persecution causes you to cling closer to Jesus.

When you are suffering persecution for your faith, remember that this world is not your home.
